I went to the eye doctor the other day. Just a check up. My prescription hasn’t changed in quite a few years. This year it has changed only slightly so I feel pretty good about that. The thing that unnerves me is that I need reading glasses. In fact, I noticed I needed reading glasses a year ago. I just haven’t done anything about it. I can’t bring myself to accept this fact. Reading glasses mean…..well, it means…..it can’t mean anything other than…..(I can’t bring myself to say it!) I’m getting old! Ugh.
While I’m on the topic of getting old…..how can you just wake up one morning and find five new grey hairs? How is it that just like THAT your eyelids start to droop and the skin around your neck starts to sag? And when did I start to NOT be able to sit on the floor anymore because I can’t GET UP from the floor anymore?
I guess I shouldn’t complain. I am in good health. My blood pressure is 102/68. My cholesterol levels are perfect.
What’s a pair of reading glasses to me anyway? Just don’t call me granny anytime soon, ok?
