1/17/08 Pool
Our Bullseye pool league started last night. I'm sure that you are unaware that myself, along with three other employees of Entercom Madison. It was a fun league and we had a lot of fun. The only downfall was it was 26 weeks long! That is a half of a year that I had to dedicate myself each and every Monday in a "fun" league. We got burnt out after about the tenth week. But we did go out and purchase our very own pool sticks! That was an exciting feeling!
So this year, we set up a three person team, in a 12 week league. Much better. So, it's the General Manager here at the station, Dave Saxe, along with a salesperson, Arlen, and myself in this fun league. Last night was our first night playing together. Neither one of us had shot pool in years. I hadn't shot after week 26 of last year. I was so sick of the game by then, I couldn't even ask my magic 8 ball a question without feeling nautious.
Last night-- we totally dominated. Dave won all of his games. Arlen won a couple. And I only won one game. It just happened to be the game that my good luck charm showed up to cheer me on for. This good luck charm better show up more this season, or I might not win anymore! I couldn't believe how well we did. And we had a lot of fun! So, each Thursday from here on out, my blogs will be focusing on our pool league from the night before. It's a traveling league. So each week we play at a different place around Madison, unless we are playing at home. Which is the Club Tavern. I will keep you posted!

I broke a pool stick over my buddies head once. He was ok.
