1/07/08 Resolution
|
This is my first blog of the new year! How exciting! I have been meaning to write one, but for some reason my life has been really hectic. The short weeks we have had over the last month have set my schedule off into a frenzy. So let's start with New Years resolutions...
I really do want to lose some weight. I'll be honest, who doesn't want to lose a couple of pounds? After the holidays and all of the guilt of eating that extra chocolate turtle. Who wouldn't want to slim down a tad bit?
I also want to exercise more. I mean start exercising. More? Who am I kidding? Haha. It's more difficult to exercise in the winter months because it's so cold outside. It's easy to go for a walk or play tennis in the summertime. I'll just have to find an alternate source of exercise.
I'm sure I'll think of another resolution for 2008 that would make me a healthier person, and like most of the people in the world, won't stick to it. I give it til' February 1st. I won't even remember making a New Years resolution.
And I also want to rant about a commercial that Charter is showing to their cable subscribers in regards to the Big Ten Network. It actually made me get upset with Charter even more! It said that it would cost every subscriber an extra 12 dollars more a year if they were to add the Big Ten Network. That's 1 (one) dollar a month. That isn't what upset me. The commercial then went on to say that if they added the Big Ten Network, then more games would be shown on it, and less would be shown on the local channels.
I'm not a rocket scientists. But 20 of the 30 Badgers men's basketball games are already shown on BTN. The others are on ESPN or ESPN2.
I'd rather watch MOST of the games on BTN, than LESS of the games on local TV. Football, basketball or whatever it is.
Charter has to realize that the BTN and NFL networks are here to stay. They aren't gonna give in to a cable service provider. I just want to watch my Badgers. |
