12/6/07 Chili
One of the coolest things about wintertime is that it is chili season. There is nothing better than throwing a bunch of stuff into a slow cooker in the morning, and when you get home from work, having supper all ready to go. Add crackers.
Now, I know that you can make chili all year around, but for some reason it just doesn't taste the same unless it's 20 degress outside. And the greatest thing about chili (besides eating it) is that no batch tastes the same. I know you can follow a recipe by the numbers, but where is the fun in that?
I like my chili spicy too. So, a lot of red pepper is a must. I even put about three or four different types of peppers in the mix. Including banana peppers, jalepeno's, and if I can find a good habenero, that will go in too.
Tis the season for chili, and one of my favorite things to do on a day off in winter is to concoct some amazingly tasty chili. It always helps to have a second chef though.

I like to put pineapple in mine.
