12.11.07: Yummy Mice
Last week someone brought in some homemade Christmas cookies for the WOLX staff to enjoy. I found one that I absolutely fell in love with and described it on the air. Since then, many of you have been asking me to post a photo of that cookie. (gulp) Well, you see.....I ATE that cookie. But I DID find a photo on the web of the exact same cookie so you can make them at home.
The body is a Maraschino cherry dipped in chocolate so the stem forms the tail. Then melt the bottom of a chocolate kiss candy and attach it to form the head so that the tip forms the nose. Take two almond slices and place behind the head to from the ears. Add a dot of white frosting to make the eyes and a dot of pink on the tip of the nose and you have your mouse cookie. (This picture shows the mouse sitting on top of half an Oreo cookie) Enjoy!
