12/13/07 Christmas Party
|
The WOLX / Entercom Christmas party was last night at the Essen Haus in downtown Madison. Fun times were had by all. The great thing about company Christmas parties is the anticipation of going into the night assuming that somebody is going to have too much to drink and embarrass themselves. Then you just cross your fingers and hope that person doesn't end up being you!
I have to say, nothing crazy happened last night, which surpises me a little. Usually when you get a bunch of crazy radio disc jockeys together in one establishment, there is something bound to happen. Usually some form of excitement. Sometimes the cops are called. Sometimes a taxi is needed. Sometimes somebody gets hurt. None of that happened last night.
Christmas parties are the perfect place to say things that you probably shouldn't say to a fellow co-worker after five Jack Daniels stiffs on the rocks. Or whatever your drink of choice is. The great this is if your boss has a little too much Jack Daniels, and it affects his speech he stands up and gives after dinner.
The Christmas party was a success once again this year. I look forward to a great 2008! |
