2/14/08 Pool & Valentine's Day
|
Pool last night was horrible. We were over on the east side at Tully's II. My team didn't even win a game. Frown. And the team that we played, wasn't even that good! I've never been swept in a series of pool games my whole life. I wasn't really comfortable in the atmosphere to begin with. Since, I knowly had to return to work after pool league to finish up some stuff. Then on top of that, some guy tried to initiate a fight with our pool team. Violence really gets to you emotionally. So my mind was really just focused on getting out of the place without any blood shed and back to work safely.
Today was Valentine's Day. It really truely is my favorite holiday of the entire year. Because it can give me a chance to really shine my sentimental side. I am a softy to begin with, but today, I guess it is socially exceptable to be sweet. So I can get a chance to be sweet and actually not have anybody look at me thinking I'm crazy. If any of that makes since. I was really concidering a gold dipped rose from Kesslers. That would have been a perfect gift for my special someone. But wait a minute--- I'm single this year on Valentines Day. No flowers, No candy, No rose dipped in gold. Just me sitting around watching everybody and their significant other be happy together. Even my boss, Dave. Mr. Manly Man himself, just told me he has to run over to the mall quick and buy a "present". It's really funny to watch these people who I don't get to see be sweet...be sweet. I like to observe people in their natural habitat!
It really is a special holiday I believe. But I can understand how it can be depressing. Well, maybe next year I can celebrate my favorite holiday in style. And maybe Kesslers will come out with some new rose. Something I've never even heard of. Something really cool I can give to my significant other. |
