Good news for TV lovers?
Yeah, the Writers Strike is still on and CBS is taking an unprecendented step to make sure everyone doesn't abandon them. The move of "Dexter" to CBS marks the first time that a full season of a pay-cable series has made the transition to commercial television.
So the question is....is that a good thing? If you've never seen Dexter, its worth checking out. Dexter is a Forensics expert with the Miami Police Department by day and a serial killer by night. The show creates a clever juxtaposition and you get to see how Dexter deals with the pressure of his secret life. Its dark, but it also makes good TV.
On the flip side, they will clearly be editing up a cable show, so it can be aired on TV. I'm worried that it may take something away from Dexter. After all, that's why people love their cable TV series. They want to see the things that can't be aired on normal TV.
As for me, I'm gonna keep watching the Showtime version of the show.
