Groundhog's Day is here again.
That must mean there's going to be much ado in Sun Prairie as Jimmy the Groundhog makes a guess on six more weeks of winter. Being a winter lover, I'm always in favor of more.
Here's something to think about. If Jimmy sees his shadow, that means an early spring is on the way. We'll, they're making the prognositcaion at 7:10am, so daylight will just be breaking. What if he sees a shadow because of a street light, or some camera crew's nearby lights? Does that nullify the prediction?
Also, what happened to Cottage Grove's Hamlet The Pig? He used to make weather predictions too. I'm wondering if he turned into breakfast because of a bad prediction.
In any case, enjoy my favorite version of Groundhog's Day....the movie.
