 How does a Hockey fan feel about Brett Favre retiring?
While I sympathize with those down and out today, I don't feel too bad. That's because Favre got to make the decision on his own terms. He was stressed out, a little tired and felt like he was going out on a high note. Its not like he's going to be destitute either. I'm pretty sure he has enough coin to rest comfortabaly for the rest of his life.
I am in particular a college hockey fan, and we consider it a miracle if we get keep a good player for all four years of their eligibility. Often is the case that a decent player will play two years and move on to the pros. We're used to the separation anxiety.
That being said, I think Favre should pursue his acting career next. i'm going back and watching "Theres Something About Mary" again. |
