Some observations on today...
First, it's St. Patrick's Day. I'm only a little Irish, but I'm always glad to participate in having a beer in celebration of the holiday. Otherwise, this just seems like another day of my co-workers pressuring me into wearing green. "Why aren't you wearing green today?"..."Don't you have any spirit?"..."What, don't you like to have fun?" It silly, but I gave into the pressure this year and wore something olive colored anyway.
Second, its the first day of shooting for Johnny Depp's new flick "Public Enemies" in Columbus. Being a movie lover, of course I'm excited about it, but I'm not about to crash the set. Without knowing the script, anything they're filming is going to seem way out of context. Still, it seems like a big to-do, so I wish them the luck of the Irish on their shoot.
Finally, its the Monday after my Badger Men's Hockey team was knocked out of the WCHA tournament in the first round. How depressing. After learning about the loss Saturday night, I've come to terms with it, but I'm still not happy. Chances are slim the Bucky will get an invite to the NCAA tournament, so I'll to wait and see. WORST of all, I've lost my bet to our engineer Tony. Check back with my blog later this week to see how we've reconciled the situation.
On the upside, I did enjoy a new Saturday Night Live sketch from this weekend. Go Jonah Hill!
