What were the ladies thinking!  This whole week has been a little strange on American Idol.  Tuesday night when the guys performed, the night started terribly, then slowly got better.  Last night the ladies started strong, but then went down hill as the night went on.  Even my favorite performer…so far…didn’t impress me.  (Amanda Overmyer sang Kansas “Carry on my Wayward Son.”  Paula suggested going back to Janis Joplin type songs.)  My two favorite performances from last night are below.  Carly Smithson performing “Crazy on You,” which I wish she would have rocked a little more, was probably my favorite.  Below Carly it’s Kristy Lee Cook with her performance of  “You’re No Good.”  I would also send out an honorable mention to Brooke White playing guitar as she sang “You’re so Vain.”  (I don’t know why, but I thought she would do that song.)
