Will we ever be pothole free?  If the city has anything to say about it, yes.  They have set up a web site for city residents to report where potholes are residing so they can take care of them.  (Click here for the city's Pothole Patrol web page.)  They say that the goal is to get to them the next working day after the report is received.  So if you go home tonight (Thurs) and report a hole, it should be fixed….or at least filled….on Monday.  That will be quite impressive if they really can fill them all that quickly.  There are a ton on Monona Drive, but I suppose that is technically Monona, not Madison. 

 I know that crews have been hard at work.  Let’s hope the weather cooperates so that we don’t have too many more popping up.  I take my hat off to the crews working on the holes.  It has to be kinda scary sometimes.  The other day on University, there was a crew filling potholes, and I saw someone not paying attention.  Mr. Lexus on his cell phone was cruising down the road when he came upon a crew filling holes.  There was a compact vehicle next to him in the open lane.  Luckily that driver beeped in time for Mr. Lexus on his cell phone to notice the crew and the fact that someone was in the open lane.  (Sorry, I had to vent.)

 It’s going to be a beautiful day.  Please enjoy the weather and think of me sitting in my house studying for my exam tonight.  I will definitely be thinking of you being outside.  Maybe get out the grill!
