What a gorgeous weekend!I wish I could be a bit more like the people I shared some time with on Saturday before I went to Duck Soup Cinema at the Overture Center.First of all, it was nice to see most everyone in a great mood because the weather was so nice.It felt good to be outside.I was at the park with some of my friends, including my 3 year old God-Son and the 3 year old nephew of one of my friends.
The boys had the time of their lives running around and making believe they were different people.They chased me around for quite some time, too.(I’m not the fastest person in the world, so I was happy that I can still run faster than a 3 year old.Must be their short legs.)I had a moment of, “I wish I could be more like that,” when they were so excited about finding small rocks and throwing them in the stream.I thought how I need to sit back a little more and really enjoy the simple things in life.To find such joy and excitement about rocks is wonderful.I don’t want to force anything, but I look forward to my rock today.
