 Crowd favorite canned? That was a headline I saw online. It was referring to Adam Carolla getting booted from Dancing with the Stars. If he was the crowd favorite, he wouldn’t have gotten canned. One of the things that I like about Dancing with the Stars is that the judge’s scores and the votes from the public are both taken into consideration when figuring out who stays and who goes. I know what I see as entertaining, but I don’t know the technical side of the dances. Obviously Adam Carolla didn’t have enough votes from the public to keep him around. I must also say that he was not one of this fan’s favorites. In my book, America got it right.
Now on to American Idol from last night. I don’t have a clue what will happen. I was on the same page as our expert, Chad, the American Idol Wannabe, when he said last week that he thought this would be Kristy Lee’s last performance. After she came out and sang nearly flawlessly last night, we are both reconsidering. Based on the other performances last night, I have no clue who I think will be going home. I don’t think it will be Kristy Lee, though. Chad thinks it will be Brooke will be voted off. That would make me sad. It would make me more sad if Carly is voted off. Carly picked a song that fewer people are familiar with, so she might be a bit vulnerable this week, too. Unfortunately, we won’t get the results until Thursday. I like the fact that Idol raises money for charity, I just don’t like waiting an extra day. I’m guessing the contestants feel the same way. |
