Extra day tomorrow- what's it all about?

It's Leap Day tomorrow. The technical explanation is that we need Leap Day to correct the calendar after four 365.25 day years in a row. The whimsical explanation for Leap Day is that some people need it to be able to propose marriage without fear of rejection.

I think that Leap Day exists for the sole purpose of making it whatever we want it to be.

Every other day of every year is accounted for by meetings and classes and appointments and games, and by holidays and birthdays and sick days and vacation days. And while all of those thing can happen on February 29th, I'll make it a day for what I want it to be.

I want Leap Day to be a day for celebration of the health and the comfort and the safety I so tenuously enjoy. I want Leap Day to be a day for reminding those I care for how much they mean to me. I want Leap Day to be a day when "the usual" gets a shake up.

Not that I don't want  to do any of this on any other day. It's just that this Leap Day was unaccounted for by me, and I don't want to let it go by without making it count for something.

Another side-splitting romp from the undisputed king of Broadway comedies - Neil Simon. We start with two young newlyweds starting married life out in one of New York’s most off beat and hilarious apartment buildings.
