Flying cars must be coming next....
For the longest time I resisted the cell phone. At first it seemed ludicrous- unwieldy with the bulk of the early ones, pricey too. As time went on the cell phone got smaller, cheaper, and more valuable as it added on features. Still, I resisted.
See, I hate carrying things in my pockets. I don't carry a wallet there, forget about keys. A cell phone? Please!
My stance on the cell phone was that until they made it so it would fit into my wrist watch, I wasn't buying. I figured, I'm already wearing a watch, so there would be no extra baggage. Nothing to lose (I've never lost a watch). And, I almost always wear my watch, so that would assure me of always having my phone with me (everybody knows that a cell phone you forget to take with you doesn't do you any good).
Despite all that logical thought, I did get a cell phone a few years ago.
Why? It was given to me. And then I used it, and came to depend on it, like crack. I hate carrying it. Really hate putting it in my pocket, and I just won't wear one of those silly holsters.
And that brings me to why I'm telling this tale today: I have just discovered that my dream/vision of the cell phone of the future has finally come true. Click here to see the wristwatch cell phone, and then be amazed as I am that it really doesn't look bad, and doesn't cost a million bucks.
