Gabe's Bio
Hi— I’ve been here at WOLX for about 3 years now.  And boy has it been a lot of fun!   I’m from a really tiny town about an hour west of Madison.  It’s labeled “Potosi” on the map.  If you looked and can’t find it, you aren’t the only one.  It’s about 7 miles southeast of Beetown.  Still can’t find it?  That sums it up.  I’m from a SMALL town.  But it has a brewery.  Actually it HAD a brewery for a long, long time.    They bottled a lot of different brands there.  Their most famous is the Holiday Beer.  Now they are working on the restoration of it. It’s a small town (I think I mentioned that already)

I started in radio just before I turned 15.  Yup.  A young radio star.   I’m very grateful to have been given an opportunity at such a young age.  Most people in their 30’s still have no idea what they want to do.  I’ve known since I was 8, and I’m living my dream.   After high school, I attended radio broadcasting school, (Yep, there is actually schools that teaches this stuff) and got a degree in radio broadcasting from Brown College!  Not the Ivy League school, the broadcasting school in Minnesota.  The great thing about Brown is that is also is connected with a Le Cordon Bleu cooking school.  Now I know why most radio broadcasters aren’t the skinniest people on the planet.  They always gave the radio broadcasting students the food they made and didn’t eat.  That was a lot of food.

I now live on the west side of Madison and love it.  I was raised to be a Packer fanatic, and really just support the sports in the state that I live in.  So, Packers, Badgers, Brewers, Bucks, and if we had a professional hockey team, I’d be a fan of that.  That is if anybody even knew who they were.  Who watches hockey anymore?  It always confuses me when I run into Kansas City fans there were born, raise and lived in Lodi all of their lives.  I can understand if you are in New York, and have multiple options, but this is Wisconsin!  Oh---and go Potosi Chieftains!   Check is in the mail, right Potosi High?

Now that you know some stuff about me, you gotta tune in 7-Midnight here on the best radio station in the country!  I also love meeting listeners.  I love actually seeing who I am talking too!  Now that we are friends, I’m sure we will catch up somewhere!
