Popcorn And A Movie With Adam Doomsday

When you try to mix in too many elements of previous action-apocalyptic flicks, sometimes all you get is mush.
Doomsday borrows the idea of a deadly virus from 28 Days Later, adds a good dose of The Road Warrior and then paints a picture over the frame of Escape From New York.
Set three decades in the future, Eden Sinclair (British beauty Rhona Mitra) leads a military team into a quarantined zone of the British Isles, with the hope of finding survivors from a previous viral outbreak and a cure to a reemergence of the epidemic.
Logic was mostly absent from the script. From the purple mohawked cannibals to the gimp and a medieval pit fight, many things seemed very much out of place. There’s a lot of grotesque blood being spilled and other semi-shocking action, but none of it satisfied.
Even though our heroine is a treat to watch, good isn’t rewarded in the end and evil isn’t punished.
