Popcorn And A Movie With Adam Shutter

Hmmmm...what do you say about a movie that doesn’t deliver what it promises in the title.
Shutter is a remake that follows the Japanese horror film style, where psychological horror is superior to blood and gore. After a tragic accident, a newlywed couple honeymooning discover that their photographs contain clues that threaten to reveal a dark secret.
While I think the subject of spirit photography is scary and fascinating, this film makes it less than exhilarating. Poltergeist taught us that a ghost haunting can be both captivating and terrifying, but here, it’s more like I was afraid of falling asleep.
The film manages to let go of logic along with anything shocking. I called what was going to happen in the film about 25 minutes into it, and that made the plot reveal a lethargic and boring process.
