From November 10th-14th, Adam Elliott collectedfood, hoping to fill a Mayflower truck with 12,000 lbs of food. We ended up getting over 28,000+ pounds! All donations went to Community Action Coalition, which represents the local area food pantries. Area schools also had a chance to compete for a $1000 prize!

Donations:
We teamed up with the Community Action Coalition. The organization aims to alleviate hunger in Dane, Jefferson and Waukesha Counties. Each year CAC distributes approximately 2.5 million pounds of perishable and non-perishable food to people in our communities.
Goal:
Our goal was to collect over 12,000 lbs of food to fill the Mayflower Truck. Thanks to listeners, schools, and companies we donated 28,472 lbs which is 22,778 meals!

11.10.08 - 11.14.08: Thanksgiving On The Mayflower 2008 WOLX teamed up with General Casualty, Meriter, Mayflower outside Meriter's Home Health Store off the Beltline, filling a Mayflower truck with nonperishable food items to give to those in need in our community. Thanks to all the listeners, schools and businesses that helped in our efforts!
